LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

Christmas 2017

Christmas is one of the most looked forward to Holidays in our Family. It’s the time that we get to see all of our loved ones; to spend quality time with them and exchange presents.

Christmas of 2017 was a special one for us because it’s the first Christmas that we are FOUR. 🙂

We spent Christmas Eve at One Pacific Place Serviced Residences in Makati. We first stayed there during Aidan’s 8th Birthday and found the place nice, clean and spacious for a family gathering so we opted to stay there again.

Our HOME for Christmas

We booked 5 rooms. One room had a living area and a kitchen so we stayed there on Christmas Eve. We brought food and also cooked some in the hotel.

The Little One was sleeping quietly while we were busy preparing.

Had to take a photo of them with the presents and the mini Christmas tree. 🙂

And all gifts being unwrapped. 🙂

The Little One had to wake up to open her gifts! Thank you, everyone, for your presents for Aidan and Micah. They all loved it!

We went back to sleep after Noche Buena.

Morning of December 25, we went to their Restaurant for the Breakfast Buffet. The buffet spread was not that big but I liked it. Not overwhelming and it had everything that we wanted.

🙂

They had Bread Station, Fresh Salad Station, Soup Station, Juice, Coffee and Milk Station, Egg Station, Main Dish Section, Fruits Section and Kids Section (Cereals, Oatmeal, etc).

Yes, pretty much everything that you need for breakfast. 🙂

After breakfast, we took a quick rest, then the kids went swimming and then played in the Indoor Playground.

After checking out, we went home to Cavite and spent the rest of Christmas Day there.

I know it’s late but I hope you all had a great Christmas last year! 🙂

The Little One’s First Flight

We left Manila for Iloilo on December 30. Micah was just 4 months old when she experienced her first plane ride. We spent New Year 2018 with the Family in Iloilo.

We chose a red-eye flight because I wanted her to sleep while onboard.

1st flight.jpg

Pardon the Face. She’s sleepy but we had o take a photo first. haha

The Dada was trying to get her to sleep. In less than a minute, she fell asleep. haha

With my Babies 🙂

Tips for your infant’s first flight:

  • When traveling with a companion, choose a window seat at the back part of the plane. 2 reasons – when the little one is sleeping, she won’t get disturbed by the people passing by, and, when you need to go to the lavatory, it’s just at the back of your seat. When traveling alone, seating at the back on an aisle seat is more convenient – for you and other passengers. Also, most planes have wider seats at the back. It is also convenient for us because we will be the 1st to board the plane (people won’t pass our side as they board the plane) being at the back; we will be the last to depart the plane. In short – Iwas siksikan.

  • Wear comfortable clothes since you will be bringing an infant with you. As much as possible, no accessories that may hurt the baby.

  • Have your child wear comfortable clothes too. Remember that it’s cold inside the plane, so make sure that you bring a jacket for you and your baby.

  • Once the plane takes off, it will irritate the baby’s ears. Have her suck a pacifier or a bottle. I am breastfeeding my baby so it’s convenient for the both of us.

  • Wear your baby. A Baby carrier helped us a lot in all our travels – short or long. It’s so much easier than a stroller. You can move easily and faster, and navigating the stairs won’t be a problem. If you really want to bring a stroller, opt for an umbrella type.

  • Take as little baby gear as possible. The lighter you travel, the easier your life is.

  • Don’t bring lots of diapers. Bring only enough that you can use when in plane or car. You can always buy wipes and diapers at your destination. Plus, I am sure your baby would love to try other diapers from other countries (If you are going out of the Country). 🙂

  • Breastfeed! Isn’t it easier to travel when you are breastfeeding? 🙂 No need to bring bottles, milk, sterilizer, bottle cleaner, and all other things you use in formula feeding.

  • Bring 1 small toy and that’s it. You’d be surprised that your baby would prefer to play with a water bottle instead of a real baby toy. He/she won’t see the difference.

  • Getting travel insurance is a MUST.

  • Always bring extra clothes for babies and kids. Extra plastic bag for the soiled clothes too.

Aidan’s first flight was a different story. It was not an easy breezy one.  I think it was easier this time because we traveled at night and I was breastfeeding. Less luggage for us since we don’t need to bring milk bottles and it’s easier for the baby to latch on me.

Welcome to the Christian World our Princess

December 19 (Tuesday), when we celebrated Micah’s Christening. It was a weekday because we waited for my sister in law to come home from Singapore. After the Christening Ceremony, we had a simple lunch with close friends, God Parents, Family, and relatives.

Let me share with you our Suppliers and my DIYs:

INVITATION: DIY
PESO POWER: FREE

Everything is electronic now and most people rely on Social Media. So, I didn’t waste time and money to print out invites. I created my own invites and sent it on Facebook. 🙂

My DIY invitation. =) I took the photos too. =)

CHURCH: Our Lady of Sorrows Parish
PESO POWER: PhP2100 (Solo / Private Baptism)

Why we chose this church? It’s the Church where Mike’s Parents were married, it’s near to our place and it’s one of my favorite church.

Today, Catholic Churches became strict. If the Church is not your Local Parish, you would need to secure a permit from the Church (please refer to your Church for the Permit Fee) and submit it to your chosen church.

Note: Reserve the Church at least 1 month prior to secure a slot.

The Ceremony was solemn and fast. It took less than an hour. They also provided the candles, missalettes and white robe. I got the candles early so I had enough time to design it based on the motif. 🙂

RECEPTION: Tramway Bayview Buffet in Roxas Blvd.
PESO POWER: Please refer to their Website for the most updated price.

This was the same Reception during Aidan’s christening but in a different Branch. The reason why we decided to book a buffet restaurant again is that we want a simple and intimate lunch. I don’t like parties on Christening. For me, it’s the time where we can chat with close friends, allow the baby to spend more time with the grandparents, GodParents, family, and relatives.

CAKE: Sugar Party Custom Cakes
PESO POWER: Php1500

Micah’s Christening Theme is Flowers and Succulents and Motif is Pink and Gold. The cake was perfect!

It’s chocolate flavor with Italian meringue buttercream. Yummy! 🙂

SOUVENIRS: Ref Magnet (The Magnet Lab)
PESO POWER3×4: P25/pc

I thought I got the best deal online and the owner was friendly and easy to deal with. I find their Ref Magnets cheap but the quality is good.

The only downside was that it would take longer if we requested the items to be delivered (It’s almost Christmas), so my husband had to pick up the items in their office located in Tandang Sora QC.

Soooo Cute 🙂

Photographer: LM Photography
PESO POWER: Please refer to the complete details below:

Unfortunately, our favorite Photographer (Our Photographer during Aidan’s 7th Birthday) was not available. I had to look online for a replacement, and unfortunately,  we didn’t have a good experience with them.

A different Photographer arrived. The Photographer I spoke with was Ram. He was not the one I spoke with. He arrived late!  I had no time to brief him and he seems unprepared and no idea of what to do. I didn’t like the photos. 😦 Later, I knew that there is a parallel celebration and I think the person I spoke with went there instead of Micah’s Baptism. Never will I book them again, nor recommend them.

Baptismal Dress: White Dress
RATE: FREE

One of Micah’s Ninang sent over dresses from Riyadh. He sent 2 white dresses which I used for Micah’s Christening.

Sooo happy I was able to find a headband that matches the dress she wore in the Reception.

What’s In My Hospital Bag. =)

I was only 7 months pregnant when I prepared my Hospital Bag. I had to prepare it that early because I was on bed rest and I could pop anytime soon – if I move a lot.

Most moms use a Diaper bag when packing the things they will need to bring in the hospital. Me – i used a small trolley. 🙂

It’s much more convenient, easy to bring (as it has wheels) and easy to see what’s inside.

Here’s what’s inside my hospital bag.

I packed each item in a small pouch and wrote labels on it. The ones you will need first must be placed on top.

IMG_2603

These are my bathroom essentials. Bring home the bath soaps, toothbrush and toothpaste you get when you check in at the hotel.

IMG_2604

Pack small items for baby’s toiletries too.

IMG_2605

What inside – Sponge (Sponge Bath), Alcohol (Should be 70%), Bath Soap, Cotton buds, Dry Wipes, Cotton balls, Petroleum Jelly, Powder & Lotion)

Please note that most Pediatricians do not recommend that you use Lotion and Powder for babies. Well – you’re the Mom. It’s up to you. 🙂

Hospitals provide Newborn Diapers but they cost 2-4x higher. Tell your husband/caretaker to give the diapers to the nurse during delivery.

IMG_2606

Got this for FREE when I attended a Breastfeeding Workshop in St. Lukes. 🙂

The first stuff you would need is for the baby. Make sure that you place it on top or somewhere that it can easily be seen by the husband. 🙂 Don’t forget to put labels too. 🙂

IMG_2607

Receiving and going home outfit. 🙂

Pack extra clothes for the baby – in case you will have to stay longer in the hospital.

IMG_2608

Extra Clothes for the Baby

Pack the boys’ undies in a separate pouch. 🙂

IMG_2609

For my boys.

Of course, MINE should be separate too. 🙂

IMG_2610

My Undies and Nursing Bras

Place your going home dress at the bottom part of the bag as it will be the last item you will need. What type of dress – should be comfortable and it will be easier for you to breastfeed. 🙂

IMG_2611

Bring at least 3 hospital dress (should have buttons so that it is easier for you to breastfeed). Hospitals have Gowns but I prefer to use my own.

IMG_2612

Brought 3 Dresses 🙂

My boys’ clothes. 🙂 Aidan did not sleep in the hospital but he visited us every day and I had to make sure I had extra shorts and shirt for him (in case he needed to change).

IMG_2613

These items should be in one bag.

IMG_2614

Bring a big Laundry bag (again, you can get this for free at the hotels. haha) you can easily toss dirty clothes inside!

IMG_2615

You can also buy this Landry Bag at Daiso Stores.

This one is really a must!!! Socks. You will feel cold after the surgery (I went on Caesarean Delivery). So, this will be your best friend. 🙂

IMG_2616

Socks from a friend – her pasalubong from Korea 🙂

Documents! The most important thing to bring in the hospital. Since we used a small trolley, we placed the documents at the outside pocket. Make sure that all files are organized and tell your husband what are those for.

Never ever forget your makeup kit! It’s a must too!

IMG_2620

Yes – I had to put label on it it. So the Husband would know. Haha

wp-image-713255201

Love at first sight 🙂

Other important things to bring are a fan and a rechargeable fan. You can never tell when you will need it.

IMG_2621

Cellphone charger, glasses, a good book and a selfie stick – yes, I brought them with me too. 🙂

IMG_2622

IMG_2625

Yes – I brought a book about investing. hahaha

Do not ever forget your baby book. 🙂

IMG_2624

Always remember that it will be your husband or the caretaker who will be in charge of the hospital Bag. So, make sure that your things are properly labeled to help them find the things you and your baby will need. 🙂

Hope this helps you! =) =) =)

My 2nd Trimester Journey

2nd Trimester

Just last month, I posted about my 1st Trimester Journey. I’m down to my last stretch now and I am ready to post my 2nd Trimester Journey.

At 20 weeks I was scheduled for CAS (Congenital Anomaly Scan) to check if the baby is developing normally and to check the gender as well. I am not a fan of 3d/4d and I am more keen to know that my baby is healthy and normal. CAS is a  very detailed scan that takes about 30-40 minutes. All of the baby’s organs are examined and measured too. CAS costs much than the normal 2D Ultrasound.  Good thing my OB only charged me PhP2500 for the CAS with Gender Determination. We checked the gender but she was on a breech position so the Sonologist cannot give me 100% assurance for the gender.

At  24 weeks, I had my blood tests done. It was an exhausting one because I had to undergo 8 hours of fasting and had to endure another 3-4 hours at the Laboratory for the OGGT test. It was also a bad decision to do it in the Laboratory near the house. Didn’t know that it was much expensive compared to Hi-Precision in Powerplant. And the result went out that I have high sugar level.

blood-tests.jpg

I was referred to an Endocrinologist for  2nd opinion by my Ob-Gyne. The next week I went to  Makati Medical Center to see my Endocrinologist. I was told that I have Gestational Diabetes and I need to monitor my Glucose 4x a day for 2 weeks.  I am still blessed because the Diabetes Center of Makati Medical Center that time are giving away Accu-Chek Glucose Monitoring Set for FREE. You just need to buy the strips, present it to them and they will give you the Machine for FREE 🙂

19758345_10158933742460405_1377148064_n

First time to check my Glucose and it went fine. 🙂

19679509_10158933743650405_1180768440_n

Only .1 and I’m going to reach 140. 😦

I  was also  asked  to get a TSH test (for Thyroid) by my Endocrinologist.

Thyroid Test

It was painful than I expected

My energy levels are great too during my 2nd Trimester, with a bit of achiness from my lower back and legs. I also had an increase appetite but because I was monitoring my sugar 4x a day, I have to strictly follow my new diet.

It was also the first time I felt her kicks. I am always excited whenever I feel her kicks like a ninja.

At 27 weeks, before we bid goodbye to 2nd Trimester, my Sonologist confirmed that we are having a Baby Girl! 🙂  I was in awe when she said it’s 100% Baby Girl.

2nd trimester girl

What’s the Baby’s Name? The husband and I already decided to name her after Dada (Michael) and my name (Anne) as her second name. But because the name is quiet popular here in the Philippines, we changed the spelling to – Maychele Anne – Gift from God.

A Tale of Surviving my 1st Trimester

1st trimester

Instead of complaining, (like most people do a lot), I always try to put a positive spin on everything.

I’d been wanting to write a blog about my second pregnancy but I didn’t have the time until tonight. 🙂

Pregnancy was never easy for me. Even during my first pregnancy with my eldest (Aidan), I was rushed to the hospital when I was just 32 weeks in (July 7-12, 2009) due to preterm labor; and when i was on my 36th week and 6th day of pregnancy, I was rushed for the second time to the hospital. My OB had to inject something to stop the contractions until I reached 37 weeks. I gave birth via Cesarean delivery, and it’s also one of the major reasons why we had a hard time deciding on having a second baby.

When the husband and I did decide to have a second child, it took us almost a year trying to conceive. At 32, with a regular 8-hour job, managing 2 small businesses on the side, managing my time to make sure I fulfill my duties as a wife and a mother –  were may be few of the reasons why It was hard for us to get pregnant again.

It was Friday morning of January 6, 2017, when I went to church and prayed really hard. God was so good because that same week, he answered my  prayer.

Sunday afternoon, January 8,  I decided to take a Pregnancy Test and it came up POSITIVE! 🙂

pt.jpg

We (Aidan, Dada and I) were so happy and excited with the good news! I was so thrilled to be pregnant again, thinking it would be easier compared to the first one.

There’s so much fun during your first trimester – getting a POSITIVE result on your pregnancy test, the FIRST ULTRASOUND, seeing and hearing your BABY’S FIRST HEARTBEAT, and most of all sharing the GOOD NEWS with your loved ones.

Mine was a MIX OF SORTS though.

I had a lot of discomfort, nausea, dizziness, severe headache everyday, indigestion, and most of all SPOTTING. I visited four (4) OB-Gyne’s (for a second-third opinion about the cause of the spotting), had several ultrasound to make sure the baby is safe, and had to take Duphaston twice a day for 2 months.

All four (4) doctors I went to, advised me to go on bed rest  to make sure that baby will be safe to avoid pre-term labor. I had to elevate my legs all the time for the first 2 months. Weird but It worked.

I was getting emotional everyday; especially due to the fact that I couldn’t take care of my son the way I used to. Mommy has to sit or lie in bed all the time, no energy to move around because I am always dizzy due to nausea. It was so hard to balance your own comfort and your family’s needs.

Yet, I am thankful that I am still blessed. I am on bed rest but I am able to Work From the Comforts of our Home (Thank you so much AMS), I have my in laws to support and help us in our daily needs and most of all, I have a loving husband who will drop anything and make us his first priority.

We are now on our 26th week, 1 more week and we’ll say hello to the final stretch of my pregnancy. We are so excited to see our new munchkin in  3 months. 🙂

G-Force Project 2016 (Sembreak)

The BIG DAY has finally come. It’s Aidan’s first dance recital and it’s with none other than G-Force.

The Big Day was held in the Music Museum. It’s the parents and grandparents first time there too. We were all excited for the show. We thought of getting a room for 1 night at the nearest hotel – Elan Greenhills Modern Hotel. It’s located just across Greenhills so it was very convenient for all of us. There were  2 shows and we were afraid that Aidan would get exhausted. We checked in early at 12:00 noon (Good thing there was already a room available).

Purchased 4 tickets for the show =)

They had their last Technical Rehearsals at 1:00 pm before the first show officially started at 3:00pm. During the Matinee show we had to go back to the hotel to rest; went back to the Music Museum at 5:00pm to fetch Aidan.

That day we were able to get Aidan’s Dance Book too. 🙂

Spot the smallest student of Teacher Chrissian 🙂

To see him happy with what he’s doing = PRICELESS 🙂

It was a quick break / dinner for the kids before their second show at 7:00 pm. I really thought that he was so exhausted already but he was not. He really enjoyed dancing in front of the crowd. I am so proud of our Little One.

At 7:00 pm, the evening show officially started and we were all excited to watch the kids dance.

Cute Little Rascals 🙂

Final dance with all the G-Force Teacher, Dancers and Students

The show ended at around 10:00 PM.

I am such a Proud Mom…

Wandering Like Kids in Universal Studios Singapore

On our 4th and last Day in Singapore, Hubby and I had a date. Yes, just the 2 of us. Aidan wanted to go to the water park with Tyler instead. Also, we were told that he may not be able to try all the rides in Universal Studios because of the height limit.

So, the husband and I had our spare time together. We only had until 2pm that day because we had to catch our flight back to Manila in the evening.

We left at 7am and took the train to Vivo City and a bus ride to Sentosa.

After an hour we were already in Sentosa. 🙂 It was a swift and fun ride to Resorts World in Sentosa Singapore.

We had a short walk around Resorts World before we went inside the Universal Studios. Universal Studios is located at the 2nd level of the Resorts World.

20160515_120737

Almost there. =)

And we’re here. Of course, there should be a mandatory shot at the Universal Globe.

No Selfie Stick but we still managed to have a picture together

Yey! We’re so excited. Can’t wait to get inside..

Strollers and wheelchair rentals are also available for a separate fee. Most rides have a long queue. Want to avoid it? Beat the queues by purchasing the Universal Express Unlimited. Of course, for a much higher rate.

I guess Dada was more excited than me. =)

We took some pictures first before we had our first ride.

We started with the ride that’s near the entrance which is the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase.

20160515_122531

Our first ride in Universal Studios Singapore

20160515_122625

We are ready and excited!

I really wanted to bring Aidan here, but I wanted to make sure that he gets to try almost all of the rides. This ride is for kids and kids at heart. There is still a minimum height requirement though.

The Spaghetti Space Chase is part of the New York Themed Rides.

Another part of the New York shows and rides are the Rockafellas. They were former members of Streetboys. Filipinos are indeed talented.

Another show in New York is Lights! Camera! Action! It’s hosted by Stephen Spielberg but it is not open until 11 am.

If you love Sesame Street, they have more for you.

There’s a Sesame Stage Shows where you get to see your favorite Sesame Street characters perform live on stage.

There’s also a store where you can buy Sesame Street items.

20160515_172445

Can’t get enough of Sesame Street? You can meet and greet them in person. You can also take a picture with them. Unfortunately, we had limited time; so we didn’t get a chance to have a photo taken with them.

Our next stop was the Sci-Fi City.

We didn’t miss the chance to try the Transformers The Ride : Ultimate 3D Battle. Here, you get the chance to become a freedom fighter in the ultimate 3D battle ride against the forces of the evil Deceptecons.

This was definitely our favorite ride. If it wasn’t for the long queue, we would have gotten back for another round.

img_2479

You can also get a chance to see Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in person. Again, I think they normally go out in the afternoon. So, we didn’t had the time to wait for them.

This is the ride that we will NEVER try. haha! The blue track is Battlestar Galactica : Human , while the red track is Battlestar Galactica : Cyclone.

Another Sci-Fi City ride that we didn’t try was the Accelerator. I think this is the only ride for kids.

Next stop is Ancient Egypt.

Revenge of The Mummy – It took us an hour before we were able to enter the dome (if that’s what they call it). This ride almost gave me a heart attack. Now i know why we had to leave all our things inside the locker.

There’s also a Meet and Greet with the characters of the Mummy. I actually saw 2 of them but they were chasing me and the other guests so, I got scared and panicked.

There is a ride in Ancient Egypt that’s for kids but we didn’t see it. Too bad, we haven’t had a chance to try it – Treasure Hunters.

And we now enter The Lost World. We first tried the Canopy Flyer. Kids can ride this as long as they meet the minimum height requirement. But again, I am not gonna let Aidan try this one just yet. It’s a bit scary. Kids can instead enjoy the Dino-Soarin and Amber Rock Climb.

If you want to get wet this early, you can try the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. We actually didn’t know that there was this kind of ride. Had we known, we would definitely have tried it. We were not able to check all the rides in part of the map because we were in a hurry and had limited time.

Next is Water World. The Water World live show does not open until 11 am, so we had to try other rides first and come back at 11am to watch the show. It was a really a great show.

20160515_171221

With the Cast of Water World

And now we enter, Far Far Away!

20160515_142059

We really wanted to try the Enchanted Airways but the line was so long. It would have taken us an hour before we could get in. It’s a Roller Coaster ride, not as big as Battlestar Galactica so I could still tolerate it.

We watched the Shrek 4D Adventure instead. Aidan would definitely enjoy this show. He likes Shrek too. There is also the Magic Potion Spin, but is only open from 11am. It’s a Ferris Wheel for children.

You can also watch Donkey Live and The Dance for the Magic Beans.

Puss in Boots in Giant Journey – Another thrill ride. Aidan would have loved to see this but I think he would be afraid to try it.

Next stop – Madagascar.

We tried the Madagasar Ride – A Crate Adventure. We were expecting to get wet on this ride but we didn’t.  haha!  It was actually boring, but I think Aidan would love it.

Kids can also enjoy the King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round and watch the Madagascar Boogie.

It was too early to have lunch but we were really thirsty and a bit hungry, so we grabbed a bite and bought a drink. We had Corndog and Grape Flavored Fanta. It was like a blast from the past. I think the last time I had Fanta was 25 years ago.

Next is Hollywood. Kids and Kids at Heart can watch the shows like Sesame Street – When I Grow Up and dine at Mel’s Dinettes and The Cruisers. You can also get a chance to Meet and Greet the cute Little Yellow fellas – The Minions.

20160515_173406

More pictures in the Hollywood.

We really had fun!!! I want to bring Aidan here when he is tall enough to try all the rides. Maybe, next year.  =)

When Creeper and Jollibee Met for the First Time (7th Birthday Party)

Aidan is a Big Fan of Minecraft. He said, when he grows up, he wants to be an Engineer and build houses; that’s why he really loves Minecraft. Just like other kids, it is also his wish to have a Jollibee party – so why not combine Jollibee and Minecraft?

Our first plan was to look for a venue that can accommodate upto 100 guests and then rent a  Jollibee mascot. But there are restrictions of course. Plus, we still have to buy food from them.

A month before the Big Day, we finally agreed to celebrate his Birthday in Jollibee.

I first called Jollibee Magallanes branch but the lady I spoke with seems to be clueless with her work and cannot answer me straight with my queries.

Hubby, mentioned that there’s a Jollibee branch near our place that he think is a perfect venue for parties- closer to LRT Libertad Station for guests that are commuting especially if they are coming from North, Guests coming from South and has enough Parking for those who will bring their cars. Also, during weekends, nearby offices and schools are closed, so wala masyado tao.

We opted to go to the Branch to reserve the party kahit na pwede naman online. Of course, I want to check the place first. Indeed, it was the best venue. The party designs that they already have are cute and the walls are green. Perfect for a Minecraft party! Plus, If we exceed 70 guests, we can occupy the seats outside and since hindi naman matao on weekends, in case we reach 100 guests, they can close the entire 2nd floor for us. =)

I ask for the Restrictions para at least we are aware and we can prepare necessary designs lang. I specifically requested to have all the balloons green. Normally, it’s assorted lang. We also asked if we can place a Candy Buffet (but should be consumed outside the venue, which is for me acceptable naman), we will provide our own loot bags, did not purchase their cake too because my son wants Minecraft cupcakes.

We have 80 guests but the crew booked us for 60 guests first and was allowed to just have additional orders at the day of the event. They want to make sure na walang sobra. =)

We arrived 30 minutes before the scheduled party. Of course, dahil madami akong inarte, nag set up pa ako. Good thing there were 5 crew members who helped us during the event. So, lahat ng inutos ko nagawa naman nila and I loved it!

They’re busy preparing the table for prizes.

The Birthday Celebrant is keeping himself busy by Playing Minecraft while we prepare for his party.

Guests started to arrive at 3pm. At 3:30 pm, the party started. Yes, hindi siya sakto kasi we waited for the other guests to arrive.

I was planning to make a balloon centerpiece but i saw a post online that in Jollibee, they use the Party Hats as centerpieces. I find it cute!

IMG_AIDAN (9).jpg

Simple but cute =)

See the Walls? They’re GREEN. =)

The Jollibee crew members were the one who set up the table for the Prizes. The package already includes 25 pieces of Assorted Prizes. I just added Bubble Swords, Pens, Whistles and Cute Elephant Sharpeners that I got from the mall. For the adults, I bought Wafers from Duty Free.

We officially started the party with a prayer to thank God for this Special Day to happen. The Opening Prayer was led by my husband’s Cousin, RB.

Seryoso siya sa pagdadasal. Good Boy Coco!

One of the crew members asked us If we want Jollibee to be in the whole event. We just need to add 700. Of course we ok’d. It was my first time to attend a Jollibee party that Jollibee will be there for the whole duration of the party, plus, it was my son’s birthday party! Kudos to whoever the man inside Jollibee Mascot. Hindi din biro ang nasa loob ka ng Mascot Costume for 2 hours. Plus the fact na dudumugin ka pa ng mga bata hehehe

Before the games started, there was a quick interview with the Celebrant and his Parents. =)

Interview with the Parents First

Dada was asked where we gor Aidan’s name. =) That question was for me but I want Dada to answer it. hehe

Then, the host asked me why we chose green as the motif. Hindi pa ba obvious kung bakit? hehehe

IMG_AIDAN (179)

I want to be an Engineer. =)

And let the games begin…

The first game was the Pass the Balloon. The person that’s holding the balloon once the music stops, will be the winner.

They’re all afraid of the balloon because they don’t want to stand in front. =)

And the winners are…

Then, they introduced the Special Guest for that day.

The Bee is approaching…

IMG_AIDAN (237)

IMG_AIDAN (239)

IMG_AIDAN (241)

He found the Birthday Boy!

IMG_AIDAN (240)

Jollibee giving the Birthday Boy a BIG HUG!

And the winners will a chance to have a dance showdown with non other than Jollibee. =)

The 2nd game was the “Longest Happy Birthday

I don’t know ano meron sa 3rd game actually. hehe Buti game naman ang adult guests.

The guests are already hungry for sure…

Food is ready. =) Time to eat…

We had Chicken and Spaghetti, Burger Yum, Twirl and Coke Float for the Adults and Big Kids. Chicken and Spaghetti, Twirl and Sprite (sorry they don’t have juice and they didn’t allow us to bring juice for the kids)  for the Little Kids. It’s an afternoon party so we thought of not ordering rice.

After the meal, the kids lined up for another game.

IMG_AIDAN (373)

The boys and girls will compete on this game. The Mom with the most number of straw in the hair wins the game.

The Little Boys.

Hindi din papatalo ang Little Girls…

The Little Boys won. =)

Time for a quick break… Photo ops with the Family and Friends.

Of course, Photo Ops with Jollibee too. =)

The most awaited moment has come. The Birthday boy will finally blow his Birthday Candle. We ordered cupcakes from my Mother in Law’s friend. Aidan wants cupcakes instead of a Birthday Cake, and he personally chose the design. =)

IMG_AIDAN (3)

Thank you for creeping!

And before we finally end the party, there’s a Special Message from the parents and of course, the Birthday Boy!

IMG_AIDAN_ALBUM (101)

We, as Aidan’s parents were very grateful for all the Family, Friends and Aidan’s Godfathers and Godmothers who were there. We don’t celebrate Aidan’s Birthday this much every year so I was really overwhelmed with the love you showed to Aidan on his Special Day. A big Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your presence is the most precious gift a child could ever receive.

Just like what Aidan said during the party, “Thank you everyone for coming.”

Coco’s LegoLand Malaysia Adventure!

On our 2nd day in Singapore, we went to Malaysia to bring Aidan to Lego Land. It’s our Graduation Gift for him and he was so excited to go.

Johor Malaysia is just an hour ride from Singapore. We left the house early and just ate breakfast when we arrived at Legoland. My sister in law and her husband rented a van to take us to Malaysia and then fetch us in the afternoon back to Singapore.

On our way and we were very excited!!!

And we’re finally in Johor malaysia! =)

We had breakfast in Uptown Coffee first before we went inside Legoland.

And we’re finally here!

You may rent Trolley for the kids – lucky them. =)

Aidan’s first ride was the Lego City Driving School. He was actually above minimum age but he just pretended that he was just 5 years old so that he could join his cousin Tyler.

Once all the children are seated safe in the car, the staff will blow the whistle as a signal that they can start. yes, it’s a race btw. )

He won! =)

Coco’s next stop was the Boating School. It’s hot so Dada accompanied the mini Boat Driver.

My Boys!

Next to our stop was the Rescue Academy. It was so fun that we had to try it again. =) The entire family can join the Rescue Team to compete with other Family. The team / family who can put out the fire first wins the game.

It was a tiring but fun game. It may look easy to do, but believe me, you need  strong arms for this. =)

We had few more rides before we had lunch.

I bet Aidan will never forget his Beetle Bounce Ride. He got mixed emotions – Happy and Nervous!

Next, we went to the Observation Tower. It’s an air-conditioned deck  that moves vertically in a slow circular motion. From up there, you can see the entire Legoland.

View of the entire Legoland.

Aidan was a BIG FAN of Star Wars and he was very happy when he saw LEGO Star Wars. It was just opened recently, and inside were different Star Wars Figures made of Legos – of course. There were models of Different Star Wars episodes. Aidan really enjoyed them because they’re actually moving. =)

Next stop is at the Big Castle, with the Mini Roller Coaster. Dragon’s Apprentice was a small Roller Coaster but I was still afraid of it. They say it’s a children’s ride but it felt more thrilling than I expected. Good thing Aidan didn’t try it.

20160513_142935

The best part was when we tried the Aquazone Wave Racers. It was so fun Aidan had to do it again. he didn’t mind even if he was already soaking wet.

Another Hit Ride for Aidan is the Royal Joust. It’s a classic medieval contest in the saddle of a Lego Horse.

One More Mommy!

He really enjoyed it big time! It was a long and tiring day, but we really enjoyed LegoLand. Halos lahat ng rides na try namin. We will definitely go back next time!

Before we left Legoland, we went to the Lego Store to buy Legos for the kids. Syempre, mawawala ba yun. hehehe

It took almost an hour for Aidan to finally decide what to buy. Litong lito ang bata. hehehe He ended up with… of course, his first ever Minecraft World Lego.

At 5 pm, the van arrived to take us back to Singapore.  =)
