Classic Molo Soup

1 tablespoon of Cooking Oil
Chicken liver, sliced into 1/4 inch
Chopped Green onions
Garlic, chopped
1 Teaspoon of Fish Sauce
Freshly Ground Pepper
Green onions, chopped
3 Cups of water
2 Tablespoons of Sesame Oil

For the Pork Wontons
– You can buy Pork Wontons from your local supermarkets, but in case you can’t find any, you can always make your own. The Pork Wontons can be prepared at least 3 days ahead, just store it in the fridge preferably inside the freezer.

Ingredients for the Pork Wonton

1/4 kilo Ground Pork
1 Large Egg
a pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 pack of small wonton wrappers

Procedure on how to make Pork Wontons:

1. Mix together ground pork, egg, salt, and pepper in amedium bowl until well blended.
2. Wrap a generous teaspoon of meat mixture with a wonton wrapper.
3. Repeat with remaining mixture.

Procedure for the Molo Soup:

1. In a pan, pour 1 teaspoon of cooking oil.
2. Saute garlic.
3. Add the chicken liver and stir evenly until it’s cooked.
4. Add 3 cups of water and bring to boil over medium-high heat.
5. Add the fish sauce.
6. Add the pork wonton. The wontons are done when they rise to the top.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Add the green onions.


You can also use chicken stock for this dish that you can make one day ahead.


Ingredients in Making the Chicken Stock

2 pieces chicken breast
1 white onion, minced
3 Cups of water


1. Place 3 chicken breast and onions in a large pot with 3 cups of water and bring to a boil over meduim-heat.
2. Lower heat and simmer until chicken is completely cooked.
3. Remove chicken from stock, set aside to cool.
4. Once chicken has cooled, cut meat into cubes or shred it by hand.
5. Place it inside a container and refrigerate.
6. Store the Chicken Stock in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.
