Nice and Gooey Chicken Wings

This simple and easy to make chicken wings recipe will certainly be“nice and gooey” for your kids with its sweet sticky glaze.


What you need:

6 pcs chicken wings

Salt and Pepper to season

1/2 Tablespoon minced ginger

3 Tablespoons vegetable oil



1/2 cup pineapple juice

1 Tablespoon light soy sauce

1 Tablespoon Hoisin sauce

1/4 cup mirin

1 Tablespoon brown sugar

2 teaspoons cornstarch

Thinly sliced spring onions (optional, for topping only)


Cooking Steps:

*** Prepare the Chicken ***

  • Cut and discard tips of chicken wings then break the joints to seperate the wings.
  • Wash and dry well with paper towel.
  • Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Set aside.


*** Prepare the Sauce ***

  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Set aside.


*** Cook and Serve ***

  • In a small non stick skillet, pour the cooking oil.
  • Pan Fry the chicken wings in batches until golden brown on each side.
  • Set aside.
  • Remove the oil from the pan and return the chicken wings.
  • Add the minced ginger and saute briefly.
  • Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well.
  • Let it simmer and stir constantly over low heat for aother 7-8 minutes or until sauce thickens and chicken is glazed with the sauce.
  • Top with spring onions.
  • Serve with rice.
