LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

Staycation at 24H Apartment Hotel

on June 24, 2013

I work 6 times a week. Yes! During the weekdays, I sit in front of the computer for 7 ½ hours doing reports and I’m a Makeup Instructor during Saturdays. I’m such a busy woman; So, I always make sure to block my Sunday exclusively for my family.

We usually go to the mall every Sunday (We attend the Wednesday mass in Baclaran so we don’t usually go to church on Sundays), but we got bored with the usual stuff so we decided to spend one Saturday night in a hotel in Makati for a change.

We reserved a 1 Bedroom Apartment for 1 night at the 24H Apartment Hotel located in Vito Cruz Extension Makati City.  We were lucky we were able to book it while it’s still on 20% discount.

Hubby and Aidan had to check in first because I still have a class during that day. We decided to meet in Greenbelt for dinner before we went back to the hotel.

The hotel was not that accessible to Makati Malls; So If you’re looking for a hotel closer to Ayala Malls, don’t consider this hotel.  You can take a cab from Greenbelt and will cost you from PhP100-120.00. You may also take a bus ride from Paseo de Roxas and then unload at Chino Roces. From there, you can take a PRC jeep going to Shopwise and lastly, tricycle going to the hotel.

The security officer, FD and other staff were friendly. Although Mike said that he had some minor problem when they checked in. We used his Mom’s credit card to pay for the hotel fee and it’s a policy that he has to present the credit card that was used upon check in. I was well aware of that since I am a Travel Specialist and I also called the hotel several times to verify it. I advised Hubby to photo copy MIL’s CC and ID. I also told him to get an authorization letter from my MIL. This was not advised by the FD when I called, but I already sensed that he might need this. Fortunately, some Hotel staff are too ignorant about their policies.

Frontdesk/Reception Area

The room was clean and big for a 1 bedroom that’s worth 2k per night only. There’s a kitchenette (kitchen wares, utensils and LPG can be requested upon check in).

The kitchenette

There is also a mini dining area in the kitchenette.

A sliding door separates the bedroom and the kitchenette.

There’s also a refrigerator in the Kitchenette

I was not amazed with the interiors of the room. Very plain and boring. The bed is small for a Queen Size Bed. Pillows seems old and not so comfortable.

They say it’s a Queen Bed. But I think it’s really small for a Queen size bed.
He wants to see If the bed is comfy.

The air-condition  looks old and doesn’t work well. We have to move the bed closer to the air-condition because it’s a little warm.

The bathroom is really small and I thought the Hot/Cold shower was not working.

The Bathroom

When I woke up the next day, I checked the Wi-Fi connection and I had a hard time to connect. The FD also forgot to give us complimentary 2 bottles of water. Hubby also missed out on that information. But when he called the FD, they delivered the it right away.

The food is ok. Honestly, I liked their Longganisa.  The staff was friendly and she always smiles. I was just shocked when I saw our receipt and that it was indicated there that she was an OJT. She was the only person in the restaurant. No one helped her. She gets the order, cleans the table, brings your order, gets your bill, requests, etc. Tsk Tsk Tsk….

The indoor pool is open from 8am-8pm. It’s located on the 7th floor.  You need to go to the FD or call them in order for them to unlock the 7th floor button of the elevator.

The pool is very small. Floors are slippery. Aidan even slipped in the bathroom. Argh!

My 2 boys are enjoying the pool

They have a Jacuzzi that is not working and in their website they call it a kiddie pool. Hahaha

The Jacuzzi. They actually call it the kiddie pool. hahaha

Still, it’s ok because Aidan enjoyed the pool.

He really loves the water. =)

It’s a pretty basic hotel for me. The only thing that I liked about the hotel is their 24 hour service. Unlike other hotels, you can stay there at exactly 24hours. We checked in at 4:30pm and checked out at exactly 4:30pm the next day.

It’s really a great value for money. Quite reasonable for an apartment hotel with an indoor pool and free breakfast for 2. But I don’t recommend this If you are planning for a Staycation. I think this will be the last time I’ll ever go to this hotel. Unless I need to be in a hotel where I can stay upto 24hours. =)
