LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

Friday Night Dinner at YakiMIX

on January 19, 2013

We (The Makeup Artistry Team) had a hard time finding a cab last Friday night (January 11, 2012), so we decided to walk from Belle and Cat Studio (where we had our Advanced makeup Class) to Greenbelt. Since it was Friday night, almost all restaurants were packed.

After checking almost all of the restaurants in Greenbelt, we decided to have dinner in YakiMIX. When we arrived there we were on the waiting list. I think we were the 15th in line. To kill time, we first went to Dillingers 1903 Steak and Brew for a quick drink. We had 2 Cervesa Negras and refillable Margarita. I decided to invite Hubby to join us since he had not yet eaten dinner. At around 9 pm, we were finally escorted to our table.

Hubby and I enjoy eating at buffets, but I’m quite picky when it comes to restaurants. A friend of mine told me that the food there is great. So,I thought, there’s no harm in trying.

YakiMIX is a Japanese, Cantonese and Korean Cuisine Buffet Restaurant.

Inside, we were seated in a spacious table with red couches.

Each table is equipped with a smokeless grill

The Buffet offers a wide variety of choices. Click the link below for the complete list of their menu:

And it’s munch time!

Maki and Sushi – there’s so many of them. They have a long table filled with different kinds of sushi and Maki. I don’t eat them though so I skipped that part. =)

Yes, they have a loooooooooooot!

Cooked food – There are a lot of varieties to chose from. The food is replenished like almost every 5 minutes. I love almost all of their cooked food.

They have different kinds of Dimsums, rice, noodle station, etc.
We had small portion of each variety so i could taste almost all of them =)

Wide array of raw food. My favorite was of course the shrimp. =) They have a lot of choices for RAW meat.

Oh! I love shrimps!!!

Hubby enjoyed their wide selection of Raw Food

And now, my favorite part. Dessert! They have cakes, halo-halo, fresh fruits, ice cream, etc. I was too full to eat more sweets so I picked the mini pastries instead and hubby had fresh fruits.Desserts ran out fast and they didn’t refill it after their last call. We went there around 9pm. since we went to their dessert table after a few rounds at the buffet table, we had few choices left. So, It’s best to get dessert first.

Aside from cakes, pastries and fresh fruits, they also have Halo-Halo, Ice Cream and Popsicle.

I was already full so I only had these for dessert. while hubby had fresh fruits and ice cream.

The place can be a little bit noisy and crowded. When we were there, I think there were 4 or 5 birthday celebrators; And the food servers had to sing “Happy Birthday” song to each celebrants table, accompanied by a very annoying background music.

For a price of Php620/person, you’ll get to enjoy a buffet filled with great Asian flavors. Hubby and I will surely go back. =)
