LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

A Relaxing Day at Wensha Spa

on December 20, 2012

As an early Christmas treat for me and hubby, we went to Wensha Spa to try their famous Wensha Massage. Hubby and I have been hooked to different massage spas since my sister gave me a free spa for 2 at The Rockwell Club on my 27th birthday. Since then, we started trying other spas and different kinds of massages.

Wensha Spa is open 24hours and offers a wide range of services such us massage, facials, nail spa and many other skin care treatments. They have branches in Timog, Antipolo and the biggest is located in Roxas Boulevard in Pasay.

Since it would be our first time to go there, I checked for reviews first from other bloggers about the Spa. We went to their Pasay branch last December 17, 2012. We arrived and checked in at 12:30PM.
We availed the Wensha Massage. It costs Php780.00 (Their price increased since March 2012), but they have a 20% discount every Monday-Thursday from 4am-2pm. Lucky us. We only paid PhP1248.00. So that’s Php624.00 per person. The Wensha Massage package includes a 1-hr massage, an eat-all-you-can buffet with shabu-shabu and unlimited use of their facilities. The front desk personnel was very polite and welcomed us with a smile. As a Travel Specialist, I am very particular to good customer service.

After paying the Frontdesk we were given 1 bracelet each that served as our key to our lockers. After getting our keys, we deposited our shoes in exchange for slippers. The Ladies locker room is located on the right side and the men’s are on the left side.

Before going there I already planned our itinerary. So here it goes:

12:00-1:00PM – Bath, Sauna and Jacuzzi
– Wet Spa has a cut off time and opens at 12:00 noon. So there were only 4 of us girls at the wet spa area that time. An attendant hands out towels and bath robes upon entering the locker room. You need to change into bath robe while inside the Wensha premises. But If you have to enter the wet spa (Sauna & Jacuzzi) you have to be totally naked. (You may use a disposable panty/underwear If you’re not comfortable being naked in front of other ladies).I took a shower first before having my Sauna Bath for 10-15 minutes. I took a rest for about 5 minutes before I plunged into the Hot Jacuzzi. They also have a complete set of amenities (hair gel, hair blower, toothpaste, toothbrush, cotton balls, powder, body lotion and cotton buds) located on the right side of the locker.

1:00-2:00PM – Lunch Time
– After an hour, I showered and changed into robes again to meet hubby at the dinning area. I didn’t enjoy their menu that much but at least they have Shabu-Shabu and ice cream. The Shabu-Shabu tastes ok but I still like the one from Healthy Shabu-Shabu. For some reason, they don’t place the beef slices in their shabu-shabu table. You have to ask for it at the counter located in between the Men’s and ladies Locker rooms.

Take a look at the Buffet Menu:

2:00-3:00PM – Back to the wet spa. (Steam Bath-Charcoal Sauna-Hot Jacuzzi-Cold Jacczzi-Warm shower) At that time, the wet spa was already crowded.

3:00-4:00PM – Massage time.I was so excited to try their famous Wensha Massage. The massage room for ladies are located on the right side of the building and the men’s are on the left side. I felt really good after the massage. The masseur was good. Natanggal niya lahat ng lamig sa likod ko. It was really relaxing. I can feel that my muscles were really pampered after the massage. It’s just kinda weird because after the massage, they will have you sign a receipt and you have to put the amount of your tip. I hope they would just give us an envelope instead. Minus points also for not having a couples room.

4:00-5:00PM – We went back to the buffet area to have an early dinner. We were full again.

Dining area

– They have 2 spacious rooms for their dining area.
– Non Aircon dining area are ideal for smokers and for hanging out.
– Air-conditioned dining area and the space in between are the buffet tables.

Busog!

5:00-6:00PM – Hubby went back to the Sauna for a few minutes while I went back to the locker room to change clothes. Before 6PM we checked out.

It was a great experience for us. The massage was superb, the staff were friendly and polite, facilities are clean and well maintained. Spending Php780.00 for an 8-hour relaxing is not bad at all, considering that we had our buffet lunch and buffet dinner in that span. Hubby and I are planning to go there once every month.

There is only a slight improvement that I want for their menu. I hope they could improve their food selections as hubby is very particular with that.

Thank you Wensha Spa for pampering us that day. ‘Till next time!
