LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

Turbo Roasted Chicken

on August 13, 2012

Ingredients:

1 Whole Chicken
7 Leaves of tanglad / lemon grass
4 pcs. Calamansi
2 tablespoons Honey
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
5 tbsp Knorr Seasoning

How to cook:

1. Mix all ingredients except the lemongrass and place it inside the 9 minute marinator together with the chicken.
2. Tie the bunch of lemongras in a knot and stuff inside the chicken’s cavity.
3. Marinate using the 9-minute marinator twice. Total of 18 minutes.
4. Preheat Turbo.
5. Set Turbo temperature to 165c.
6. Set time to 40 minutes.
7. After 40 minutes, check If the chicken is already cooked.
8. To check, use a knife or a pointed kitchen tool such as a thermometer. insert it in the thickest part of the chicken (usually the tigh or the leg.) If juices run clear with no blood, your roasted chicken is done.

(Note: Never serve the chicken even with very little blood running out. chicken is one of the meats that have to be cooked through as raw poultry could harbor salmonella, which is fatal to our health.)

9. Once done, let the chicken rest for about 5 to 10 minutes. This is done to let the juices of the meat be reabsorbed and redistributed all through your chicken. it also makes for easier carving as juices won’t flow out.
