LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

Aidan’s 3rd Birthday Celebration

on August 13, 2012

On my son’s 3rd birthday, it rained.

We never anticipated that the Habagat Rainfall would cause a disaster in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Weeks before Aidan’s birthday our itinerary was all set.

We were to have a personalized Cars Themed Doughnut Cake from Krispy Kreme and a mini celebration at home. Then, we will go to Mall of Asia in the afternoon for dinner, playhouse and will buy him a present.

Unfortunately, the rain didn’t stop since August 5. The roads became impassable so we didn’t have a chance to buy groceries for Aidan’s celebration.

Come August 8, Aidan woke up at 5am. I guess the kid knew it was his birthday. He was so excited. Thankfully, God was good. The weather became fine. The rain stopped for awhile. =)

Around 8am, Dada and I went to Imus Public Market to buy groceries and Birthday Cake for Aidan.

At Aidan’s request, we bought Ube cake from Red Ribbon and cooked Turbo Roasted Chicken. =) We also bought Mango Ice Cream and cooked Spaghetti and Macaroni Salad.

Yummy food. =) All prepared by Mommy and Dada. =)

After lunch he opened his gifts…

Gifts for Aidan. =)

Despite of the rain, we were able to celebrate Aidan’s birthday. And we learned our lessons the saddest way. =(

1. Always have a back-up plan. Don’t just settle for 1 plan. You’ll never know what might happen.

2. Do your groceries ahead of time. Replenish everything in the kitchen. Dada knows how to bake a cake. However, we were not able to replenish our baking ingredients. No more butter, vanilla extract, chocolate bar, etc. If ONLY we were able to do the grocery ahead of time, it will be no problem staying at home and celebrating Aidan’s birthday.

3. It’s better to buy a gift and wrap it ahead of time.
