LIFE is a DANCE if you take the STEPS. This is my DANCE. The story of my LIFE.

Dancing is moving to the music without stepping on anyone's toes, pretty much the same as life.

Misua Soup with Meat Balls and Patola / Sponge Gourd

on May 14, 2012

Meatballs:
250g (1/4 kilo Lean Ground Pork)
Finely chopped carrots
1/2 sized onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1 egg

1 medium-sized patola
1/2 onion, chopped
125g misua
2 liters of water
Salt / preffered seasoning

Procedure to make the Meatballs:

1. Combine the meat, garlic, onion, and seasonings in a bowl. Mix them. Add 1 egg that will act as the binder. Blend well.
2. Spoon and shape into small balls. (You can prepare this ahead of time and put it in a fridge.)

To Cook:

1. Saute the onions.
2. Add the water. Once it is already boling, carefully add the meat balls. Cover the pot, lower the fire, and wait for at least 5-10 minutes. (You will see the meat balls float as they are cooked.)
3. Pour all the patola.
4. Cook again for about 5 mins or until the patola is soft and tender.
5. Finally, add the misua.
6. Season to taste.

Enjoy! =)
